John has joined BCR Infinity Architects after relocating to Suffolk in 2023. He has over 25 years’ experience designing low-energy, sustainable buildings in the education, community and residential sectors. This includes both new-build and retrofit projects for the University of East Anglia and University of Brighton. He qualified as a Passivhaus designer in 2014, greatly adding to his sustainable design knowledge, and uses these principles to inform all his design work.
John is part of our team providing our Building Regulations Principal Designer services and providing design and technical advice across many of our projects.
In his spare time John is a trustee of the Architects Benevolent Society and currently serves on its Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. He has also worked as a Professional Practice examiner for Birmingham City University, a natural progression from his many years as a professional practice mentor to younger colleagues.
