John Lewis, now Primark retail store

Project Details

A mixed use development that enabled John Lewis to remain trading in this alternative site within central Cambridge during the Cambridge Grand Arcade construction period. The Burleigh Street development required that the upper floor had the potential to be modified at a later date to include either upper floor offices or residential apartments with roof terraces. This involved the careful design and co-ordination of all the potential access, delivery, storage requirements, means of escape, layout and services required for different future uses. We then co-ordinated the structural and architectural changes required to convert the building into the present Primark store.
