The Kitchen Garden, Genome Campus

Project Details

A renovation and conversion project of a Grade II Listed kitchen garden and stables on a Heritage site at Genome Campus in Hinxton, outside Cambridge. The existing Victorian walled courtyard garden was converted into a 300 seat auditorium by enclosing an internal roof space. The new space was created to be the primary conference and exhibition space on the campus. The new works also included catering, food preparation and bar facilities. We were appointed by RG Carter to assist them with the complex detailing of the building, which included bespoke furniture design, and to work closely with the Conservation Officer.
