Project Details
This project was the realisation of ambitious plans to provide a platform for sporting opportunities in Newmarket which was opened in April 2010 in the run up to the London Olympics. The project is part of a scheme to bring cricket and other sports back to public open space, The Severals, in the centre of Newmarket.
The aims of the facility is to act as a “central focus” for a number of groups in and around the town as well as encourage people into sport providing a catalyst to encourage more people to participate in sport. This was a very significant project for the whole community with continued Stakeholder consultation throughout the process.
We acted as Architects as well as lead design Consultant heading a multi-disciplinary consultant team assisting the project managers to deliver both on time and to budget.
