Benzir joined the practice in 2014, having relocated from the West country, working for practices in Cornwall and Cardiff specialising in building conservation and work within conservation areas and historic town sites.
She has worked on projects across varied sectors and at all stages of the design process from concept to completion and, since re-joining us in January 2023, she has been actively engaged in live projects within the practice as well as the Suffolk RIBA branch activities, currently serving as Secretary and a member of its Design Awards Judging Panel.
She has enjoyed creating collaborative links between academia and practice through her past mentoring and teaching involvement at the University of Suffolk. Since 2018, she has been co-director at Storik atelier, a Suffolk based design studio and workshop, where she works in collaboration with her partner on bespoke projects involving specialist metal fabrication and automotive design.
Benzir loves gardening with her 2-year-old son and is currently training to run at the 2024 London Marathon.
