Last night our colleagues Chris Jones, Kelly O'Doherty, and Stacey Barratt enjoyed supporting the opening event of the #Hire_Local campaign by the Cambridge Association of Architects at the Cambridge Room.
The exhibition displayed the work of 35 local architecture practices and was well attended by architects, consultants, developers, and planners. Cambridge is really fortunate to have practices with a wealth of knowledge about all building types, based right here locally. Opportunities like this one are great for connecting with fellow professionals and making new connections for future collaborations.
The exhibition runs until 14 October, and there are more events planned:
1. College’s & School’s Reception: 28th September. This is aimed for Cambridge Colleges, Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities, and Cambridge Schools to meet local architects with relevant experience.
2. Developer’s Networking: 5th October. This event is aimed at professional developers in the region who would like to understand how local architects can add significant value to any new project.
3. Resident’s Workshop: 12th October. Aimed at residents who are considering expanding or retrofitting their homes and need advice and to appoint a local architect.
